I am sorry for how confusing this makes our situation, but I'll do my best to explain it. I apologize for the length of this email.

As of right now, JV Blue and Varsity will play Poynette/Portage on Tuesday, though the Tuesday schedule could change. If Lake Mills beats or ties Sugar River tonight, we will win the conference championship if we play and beat Poynette/Portage and Cambridge/Deerfield.

If Lake Mills comes through for us, we will most likely play a doubleheader on Tuesday. Cambridge/Deerfield MIGHT come and play the varsity team at 4:45 and the we would turn around and play Poynette/Portage at 6:30. There is also a possibility that Cambridge/Deerfield may not be able to travel, in which case we would play Poynette/Portage at 4:00, then get on a bus and travel to Cambridge/Deerfield to play there at 7:00.

If Lake Mills does not tie or beat Sugar River, the Cambridge/Deerfield game will most likely be cancelled. I don't know what impact this all has on the JV Blue game against Poynette/Portage or the JV White game against Cambridge/Deerfield. I am also unsure of the current status of the JV Blue game against Middleton.

The difficulty in all this is that the regular season games must be completed by Wednesday per WIAA rule.

This situation also has the potential to interrupt our playoff schedule. We have been seeded #2 in our region, which means we should be hosting Richland Center on Thursday night, probably at 7.

If school is closed next week (which I have been told is a possibility if we continue to have high rates of absenteeism - please encourage people to attend school unless they are actually, legitimately ill!), specifically Thursday, we may have to forfeit our playoff game. This is what happened to the track team for their conference meet (costing them a likely conference championship) and to the softball team (they had to forfeit their playoff game).

That is all of the information I have for now. Please contact me with questions.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/5/19/update-on-school-closing.html"><rss:title>Update on School Closing</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/5/19/update-on-school-closing.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

Hello Everybody,

As you know, the High School is closed tomorrow (Tuesday). The park is located on Linnerud Drive, near the intersection of Linnerud and Bird Street. Unfortunately, the intersection of Bird and Main is closed in the direction of Sheehan Park.

I suggest getting on Main Street in Sun Prairie and turning South on O'Keefe (at WalMart). Go to the second street (Linnerud) and turn left. Stay on Linnerud for a mile or so and the park will be on the right side. I have placed a link to my suggested directions at the end of this email.

The varsity game will be at 7:00 at the high school. The best way to get to the high school is to take main street east through town until you get to the Milio's sub store. Turn right and go past the stadium to find parking. We will play in the stadium.

See you all tonight!

Vince

Here is a map with the directions I suggest taking to Sheehan Park: http://tinyurl.com/c4s2bc

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/4/1/mt-horeb-games-rescheduled.html"><rss:title>Mt Horeb Games Rescheduled</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/4/1/mt-horeb-games-rescheduled.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

The varsity and JV White games against Mt Horeb have been moved from Monday, May 11 to Thursday, May 7. The game times remain unchanged.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/3/31/april-27-game-times-changed.html"><rss:title>April 27 Game Times Changed</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/3/31/april-27-game-times-changed.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

On April 27, the varsity game against Wisconsin Heights will begin at 4:00 pm at Wisconsin Heights. The JV Blue game will begin after the conclusion of the varsity game, probably between 5:30 and 5:45. The bus will leave the school at 2:15.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/3/31/jv-white-varsity-games-postponed.html"><rss:title>JV White & Varsity Games Postponed</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.vibrancephotography.com/soccer/2009/3/31/jv-white-varsity-games-postponed.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

Today's JV White and Varsity games at Beaver Dam have been postponed.

Well, after numerous meetings and great responses, we are set to start our “Girls Soccer Goes Pink”, campaign.

In union with the LeRoy Butler Foundation (LBF) www.leap36.com , Wisconsin high schools and their girl’s soccer teams will be raising money for direct support to those stricken with breast cancer and donating to the LBF and distributed to a recipient of their own community!

There are many ideas which have come out of this from the committee, to coaches themselves, and I am going to try and share as many as I can with you, so please bear with me.

During the month of April we are asking teams to dedicate one of their games, (conference or non-conference) to this cause. We have had a couple of teams dedicate the first round of tournaments they are hosting, and conferences lining up to play all the games on the same day.

The LBF will take the money raised and give it directly to those in need of it. To learn more, please check out their website.

We will have t-shirts donated for all teams to wear during their games, pink with white writing for the home team, black with pink writing for the visiting team. The shirts will have numbers 1 thru 25 on them as well as the LBF logo. The WIAA states that girls cannot be given the shirts, so schools can keep them, or sell them to the players for $5.00 and donate the money to the LBF. I am still finding out details and will let you know very soon how we are going to get them to you.!

I am now going to outline some fundraising ideas that the LBF is helping us with. Your team can use all, some, or none, of these ideas. We want to help each team raise funds for this terrific program and are providing a few ways for you to do this.

Before I start on these, there are a lot of you with some great ideas of your own. Please share these with other coaches either by email, posting on WSCA site, or get it to me and I will send it out.

Remember, all of these are just ideas. You can do one, some, none, or all.

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
