With school closed the rest of the week, we will not have any games or practices until next week. I am sorry for how confusing this makes our situation, but I'll do my best to explain it. I apologize for the length of this email.

As of right now, JV Blue and Varsity will play Poynette/Portage on Tuesday, though the Tuesday schedule could change. If Lake Mills beats or ties Sugar River tonight, we will win the conference championship if we play and beat Poynette/Portage and Cambridge/Deerfield.

If Lake Mills comes through for us, we will most likely play a doubleheader on Tuesday. Cambridge/Deerfield MIGHT come and play the varsity team at 4:45 and the we would turn around and play Poynette/Portage at 6:30. There is also a possibility that Cambridge/Deerfield may not be able to travel, in which case we would play Poynette/Portage at 4:00, then get on a bus and travel to Cambridge/Deerfield to play there at 7:00.

If Lake Mills does not tie or beat Sugar River, the Cambridge/Deerfield game will most likely be cancelled. I don't know what impact this all has on the JV Blue game against Poynette/Portage or the JV White game against Cambridge/Deerfield. I am also unsure of the current status of the JV Blue game against Middleton.

The difficulty in all this is that the regular season games must be completed by Wednesday per WIAA rule.

This situation also has the potential to interrupt our playoff schedule. We have been seeded #2 in our region, which means we should be hosting Richland Center on Thursday night, probably at 7.

If school is closed next week (which I have been told is a possibility if we continue to have high rates of absenteeism - please encourage people to attend school unless they are actually, legitimately ill!), specifically Thursday, we may have to forfeit our playoff game. This is what happened to the track team for their conference meet (costing them a likely conference championship) and to the softball team (they had to forfeit their playoff game).

Hello Everybody,

As you know, the High School is closed tomorrow (Tuesday). All athletic competitions and practices are cancelled.

The Varsity and JV Blue games have been postponed to Tuesday, May 26. This means that Senior Night will be delayed by one week.

As of right now, the games scheduled for Thursday, including Varsity and JV White at Cambridge/Deerfield (at Deerfield HS) and JV Blue at Middleton will be played as scheduled. If school is canceled on Thursday, all attempts will be made to reschedule these games.

Also, as of right now, practice on Wednesday will go on as scheduled.

I will keep you all informed of any changes that occur.

Just wanted to let everybody know that tonight's JV Blue Game against Sun Prairie will be at Sheehan Park at 5:00.

Living in Sun Prairie, I can assure you that getting to Sheehan Park is a holy nightmare right now because of road construction. The park is located on Linnerud Drive, near the intersection of Linnerud and Bird Street. Unfortunately, the intersection of Bird and Main is closed in the direction of Sheehan Park.

I suggest getting on Main Street in Sun Prairie and turning South on O'Keefe (at WalMart). Go to the second street (Linnerud) and turn left. Stay on Linnerud for a mile or so and the park will be on the right side. I have placed a link to my suggested directions at the end of this email.

The varsity game will be at 7:00 at the high school. The best way to get to the high school is to take main street east through town until you get to the Milio's sub store. Turn right and go past the stadium to find parking. We will play in the stadium.

The varsity and JV White games against Mt Horeb have been moved from Monday, May 11 to Thursday, May 7.  The game times remain unchanged.

On April 27, the varsity game against Wisconsin Heights will begin at 4:00 pm at Wisconsin Heights.  The JV Blue game will begin after the conclusion of the varsity game, probably between 5:30 and 5:45.  The bus will leave the school at 2:15.
