Vibrance was lucky enough to help create and capture the moments they will remember for the rest of their lives through our unique photographic style. Vince and Michaela had the great pleasure of being present from the beginning preparations to the last special dance of their day. We caught all their special moments from hair and makeup, dress tying, vest buttoning, hand holding, ring exchanges, first kisses, first dances, and all of the many loving glances in between. Here are a few of our favorite photographs from their day. We hope you enjoy!

Samantha chose a great sundress for her senior portrait

Trying to decide what to wear for your senior portraits can be stressful.  It doesn’t need to be!  There are a few simple tips that will help you get the best portraits possible.  The key is picking outfits that represent who you are but don’t draw attention away from your face.

You can see in this picture that Samantha has chosen a sundress with a nice floral pattern.  The blue and white coloring is not too bright that her dress jumps out at the viewer.  Also, the colors are close enough in tone that the pattern doesn’t look busy.  Finally, the blue compliments Sam’s blue eyes in a way that draws attention to her face.  Just to be safe, we used her guitar to break up the pattern a little and to create a frame around her face.

Here are a few clothing tips that can help make your senior portraits great:

1)  Bring a few different style outfits in different colors:  bring something dressy, something semi-dressy, and something casual.

2)  Plan your outfit from head to toe!  Bring shoes, jewelry, and accessories that compliment your outfit without being distracting.  This applies to the guys, too!

3)  Bring outfits that represent who you are.  Your clothes should show your personal style, with some outfits potentially showing what things you participate in:  a team uniform, dance wear, letterman’s jacket, and so on.

4)  Bring something with sleeves!  Nobody wants “grandma arms,” and even the most physically fit among us can have large-looking arms when posed in some positions.  Wearing something with sleeves gives us a lot more flexibility in the poses we can use.  Don’t be afraid to bring spaghetti-strapped or sleeveless dresses, just be aware that we will have more flexibility with sleeves, even short ones.  As you can see in the picture above, Samantha’s arms look great because she’s in great shape, and we were able to use her guitar to keep her arms away from her body.

5) Don’t get too stressed out about what to wear.  Bring things that make you comfortable or that you look good in.  As long as you put a little thought into avoiding distracting clothing, you’ll probably be in pretty good shape.
